I started macro photography with my first digital compact camera which I adapted to take extreme close ups. This would not be possible with the cameras own macro mode. It was quite an effective tool but the file sizes are unfortunately rather small.
I continue to shoot macros with my current dedicated 150 mm lens and DSLR camera.
